Ladder climbing

Lenny and Josh LOVE Stanley's ladder for his loft bed. They love to climb it and think it's just awesome. Lenny is more courageous and Josh is a scaredy cat.
One day when my mom was picking up in a different room and she hears Josh wailing. She comes running and Lenny and Josh were climbing up the ladder but Lenny was on Josh's foot. Lenny was trying to figure out how to get on the bed and Josh was trying to figure out how to get down. My mom helped Lenny and Josh up the bed Lenny was pleased, Josh was freaked! But he does it anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Happy Thanksgiving!! One of my favorite times of the year except for this year. All of our Thanksgiving plans fell through when Aunt Charlotte got sick. The next day Stanley had an upset stomach and as we were leaving Target, he threw up outside the elevator door. Then while watching the biggest loser Dita threw up, and when I got back from watching New Moon I felt sick and then threw up. So on Thanksgiving we all sat around and slept while our parents attempted to make a nice Thanksgiving dinner. After we ate we watched UP and Annie. Overall Thanksgiving for the Cannon family was okay...

Twins a year already!

We were looking at pictures from when the twins were newborns in the hospital and how small and cute they were. We have noticed a big difference in the way they look now compared to last year.

Lenny is climbing up and down the stairs and enjoys walking around with someone holding on to her hands. For her birthday she got a stuffed monkey, and whenever she goes to bed she always has to have it, she likes cuddling with it. She also throws big tantrums whenever she doesn't get her way!

Josh is a big teddy bear. His hair looks looks like Fabio, long and gorgeous. My mom refuses to cut it although it covers his eyes, and he has longer hair than Lenny (she has gotten a couple of trims). He loves to be held and does not really enjoy walking around. Whenever your working on something he will collapse and tackle you. Its very amusing and painful.

Go Carts

A couple of weeks ago, we had the day off from school, I needed to work on my science project. My dad has an shop down in Indiana, where they sort wood and all that good stuff. Anyways, he took me, Dita, Stanley and a couple of neighborhood kids, Pete H. Isaac N. and Noah and Ruth E. The drive was 2.5 hrs long and when we got there we had to work on the science project, but i wont go into detail about that. After (and the real reason everyone came) was to ride the Go Carts, that belong to someone my dad works with. We rode on muddy and slippery ground. There was an abandond railroad track that we used to ride them on. We had an awesome time!

School & the Amazing Exchange Program!

School started on September 8th 2009. I guess you can say that school is going really well. (for now at least). I started 8th grade at LaSalle Language Academy, Dita started 5th grade, and Stanley started Kindergarten. Both are attending Murray. And the twins, well they are your average almost one year olds getting into everything and crawling up the stairs, climbing out of their high chairs and just getting into trouble.
Starting eighth grade at LaSalle means 2 things. 1 you are the oldest in the school and you look down on all of the little kids even though they may be taller than you. And 2 you get an Exchange student. There are 5 languages at LaSalle French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Chineese. I am in spanish and have been for the past 9 years. In LaSalle exchange students from Spain come at the very beginning of the year, i was lucky enough to get an awsome exchange student that i love so much. Her name is Clara. She along with all of the other exchange students from spain have been touring the city while the have been here. It has been alot of fun! I am also so exited because in Febuary of 2010 I get to go to spain and stay with Claras family for 2 weeks! :) I will upload pictures next post.

Activity Camp!

Dita and I decided to host another year of activity camp. We had a really good time. Some of the people that participated-- Mason & Symmes, Autumn, Whitney, Stanley, Reese, Pete and Grace, Sophia, Taft and Phin, Cali and John and Spencer. The kid's favorite day was party day. We played in the water and broke our homemade pinata. Here are some pictures of our good time.

Stair Climbing!

The twins have been crawling for a while and trust me they get into every little thing. We have to start putting up gates around the house and enclosed area for them to play in. The new thing they like to do is stair climbing. They love to climb up the stairs when we're not looking! One time they climbed all the way up to the kitchen without us noticing, i finally came from outside and i found them playing in the kitchen eating Cheerios off the ground under their high chairs. They are still so much fun to play with & are super cute.

Laughs!

The twins have started to laugh and smile a lot. Sometimes you can't tell if they are laughing or crying but they are still super cute. Here are some of the moments where they are laughing.

Twins at 7 months

The twins are becoming so big. Already 7 months old! It's hard to believe. Here are some cute pictures!

Twins on the Move!

Wow! They started crawling last Monday. Lenny (Elenita) is really good at it and is starting to pull herself up onto furniture and her crib. She kneels and holds on to keep herself steady. Josh on the other hand just scoots himself and pulls himself around with his surroundings. They are becoming more of a handful because they get into EVERYTHING! But they are super cute.

Happy Birthday Me!

February 22 was my birthday! I am officially allowed to watch PG-13 movies--although I haven't seen any yet. We had a little get together with friends, we had a great time, playing games and enjoying some of my moms tasty food! On the Saturday before my birthday Katie, Jenny, and my Mom took me shopping to Water Tower Place downtown. Afterward we got some lunch. I had a really fun time. Thanks Mom, Katie, and Jenny!

Bread--the gift that keeps on giving

Dad replaced our old kitchen aid with a new one for Christmas. He makes at least 4 loafs of bread a week. He has been experimenting with many different types of bread. He has been making a lot of sourdough bread from a starter he got from Zach Cannon. Starter is basically wild yeast that has been captured. We started to call the starter "the beast" because it needs to be fed twice a day. He loves to make bread so much it has become a hobby for him. He tries to make it just right by using new baking techniques. There has been a huge benefit from all of this because we get freshly baked bread almost every day. It is usually very, very good. Thanks Dad!

Twins Baby Blessing

This is Elenita with dad. The twins were blessed last Sunday, January 11, 2009. Dad did a good job blessing them and the babies were good---they stayed calm for the both blessings.

We were so excited for the twins to wear these outfits. The little tuxedo that Josh is wearing is one that grandma Farfan got for Stanley when he was blessed. Elenita is wearing the dress that Carolina wore when she was blessed--10 years ago.
